Who would win in a fight between a male African Elphant and a Grizzly bear?

Got to admit, I find this question fascinating (although I should probably be saying mature things like "That would never happen" or "This question is in bad taste").

In general, I would back the bear against almost anything: it's much heavier and more powerful than a lion or tiger, for example, as well as being amazingly fast and surprisingly manoueverable.  However, with the elephant, I think it might just have bitten off more than it can chew.  The bear could do some damage, for sure, but I think if the elephant once got into a position to start trampling, it would all be over.

But this really is all guesswork.  There are no grizzlies in Africa, so the two species would never meet.  On occasion, large, co-ordinated packs of lions do take down elephants, but never a single lion acting alone.
