My coworker and I found this vertebrae looking bone outside of our store near the dumpster and have been googling every animal we can think of to find a match and cannot find one. Any thoughts?
It's a small vertebra (one of the bones that make up the spine) and it's from a mammal. It's been cut in half too (which is why you can see the spongy internal texture) and so bits of it are missing which probably hasn't helped. It's hard to say whaty it is exactly therefore, but my guess it's from a pig.
