Is it normal for a seagull to knock on your door with its beak in the morning to see if you are going to feed him again. this has happened to me and when i throw food out for it he screams so much he gets none and other gulls get it. i found it strange he knew what door to knock on with his beak.

Seagulls like many birds have good memories and excellent pattern recognition abilities. Thus it is no surprise the gull can remember your door and learns that knocking results in food.
