I know there is research about using Salamanders to try and recreate in humans how they can regrow limbs but is there any biological boundary that stops us from growing a new tooth when one is removed?

I am fairly sure in the future instead of simply using false teeth all the time to fix our problems - the 'poor man' solution will be just to use some kind of contraption to stimulate new teeth like we are beginning to do a lot with hair loss.

Hi James,

A third set of teeth has been reported in individuals a few times in medical history, so it's not impossible..

However, your idea would only work if there is a big enough market for this that would justify the investment in R&D. Who know, maybe there is!
