Found this skeleton on a North Wales beach called "Aberfraw."
It has fins down the tail and three rows of spines, much like rose thorns, along the tail and dotted around the back and sides of the body.
seems to have four limb like segments on its underside and vertebrate before the tail. Thought it might be a dried stingray skeleton, but I can't find any that look like it!
It's quite difficule to be sure on the basis of a photo of a dried out and scruntched up specimen, but this looks like it is probably a Thornback Ray (Raja clavata).
