A couple of years ago I built a nest box inside my shed with an opening to the outside. The birds turned their beaks up at it, but this year wasps have built a paper nest inside. I can no longer hear them when I put my ear to the box and have seen no wasp enter or leave the nest for about a week. I need to demolish the shed and do not wish to harm the wasps or destroy the nest. Can I remove the nest box and move it elsewhere? Will the adult wasps be inside the nest?

You'll be fine to remove the nest. The adult wasps (workers) will have died or in the last throws of their seasonal life. The next queen will build a new nest next year.
