Which features of the species of brown seaweed fucus vesicolosus helps it lose less volatile water,than for example Pelvetia canaliculata and why does the Pelvetia canaliculata loses so much water


Also why does ascophyllum ndosum tend to have more dry matter content than other species of seaweed.Thank you
