Could you please identify the insect in the photo? It was seen on a wildlife trip to the Cevennes. Could it be a Libelloides coccajus?

I am not an expert entomologist so someone more qualified may disagree, but your ID of Libelloides coccajus seems correct based on photo, location, and timing (assuming this was a recent trip so the spot was in the spring). I've never seen one myself though - nice spot!
As you probably know (but other readers may not) this is a species of owlfly - this one has the common name of "owly sulphur" - which are a group within the order Neuroptera (so related to antlions, lacewings etc).
