I found this today, washed up on a beach in the Dornoch Firth (north east coast of Scotland) and hope you can identify it for me. The Dornoch Firth is frequented by dolphins & whales so my first thought was that it's from one of those? Unfortunately, it has obviously been in the water for a while as it's a bit bashed about. I'd love to know what it's from, as it's quite big. Thank you.
Given the degree of damage we are unlikely to be able to say much. Certainly from the size, a dolphin vertebra would be good possibility.
