I live in Baja Calif. Thanks to El Nino and the huge waves it brings and extreme low tides, this is what washed up on beach. I'd like to add that the grey whales pass right in front of house every spring and many dolphins/porpoises can be seen all year round. Heres the pics , thanks for any help. Note: Obviously this is nissing lower jaw and where teeth and/or baleen wouild have been is just nothing. Is this a way to establish approx. age of this?

Hi Lynda,

it's hard to be sure without a scale bar and images from standard angles, but the apparent lack of teeth in the upper jaw and overall shape makes me think it's from a Risso's Dolphin. The rostrum looks like it may be a little long, but that could be due to camera angles.
