If digestion is controlled by the parasympathetic nervous system, part of 'Rest and Digest' does that mean digestion is most efficient during sleep? After hearing that eating before sleep is bad and then considering the parasympathetic nervous system it is hard to get a clear answer, especially when the internet is full of conflicting information.
