Hi, please help, I have found these insects both inside and outside the house. They maybe what is biting the kids, but I also have two dogs but no signs of bites or fleas on them. Are they fleas? :-(

Yes I'm afraid this is a flea. Fleas can come in from all sorts of places, old rugs/furnishings from house clearances, dead animals in the garden etc so your dogs may not even be responsible, especially if they have already been treated.
