Hello,
I have a question regarding transcription. I know that RNA-polymerase is moving in the 3'-5' way on DNA and the new RNA is 5'-3' orientation. So if the DNA sequence is 3' ACG TGA 5' RNA sequence is 5' UGC ACU 3'. But what if they say that DNA sequnce is for example 5' CAG TAG 3' ? Then the RNA-polymerase is moving from 3' (back) to 5' (front). So does the enyzime read it like TAG and then CAG, or it goes backwards like GAT GAC?
thank you!
