I am an Assistant Professor working on population biology and senescence (aging) at the University of Southern Denmark. Until recently I was at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock on the Baltic coast of Germany.

I don't have a particular study species. Instead I work on data from a large range of species and try to find and explain the patterns that we observe in the ageing process, mostly from a demographic perspective.

In the past I have worked on macroevolution, macroecology and population genetics.
