Welcome to the AskABiologist forum. This really is the main part of our site and it’s a chance for you to ask us anything you like about biology, palaeontology and all the subjects that go into it – botany, anatomy, anthropology, physiology, evolution, behaviour and so on.

To make our jobs easier there are various different categories for your questions. Most fossil questions can go into the relevant category, so if you want to know about fossil mammals (like mammoths), put the question in the ‘Mammals’ section. Don’t worry if you are not sure where your question belongs, we will find it and hand it over to the right person to answer. If you have no idea, then just submit it to the ‘General Biology’ section.

We will try to answer your question within a week, but please remember that all our members are doing this on their own time and may not be available. So do keep checking back with us, and feel free to follow up your questions with another if you want more information from us.

If you want to look at the answers to recent questions you can see them all here. You can also search for various answers or just browse them.
